Today, we celebrate another important milestone in the journey of Durham Family & Cultural Centre (DFCC) under the theme “Celebrating Our Journey, Forging Our Paths.”

Black Joy Holiday Market

Friday, November 13, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 14, 12:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, 1867 Valley Farm Rd, Pickering.

Every vendor fee collected at the Black Joy Holiday Market goes toward our Afro Caribbean Food Baskets, which give culturally familiar food to Black and racialized families across Durham Region during the holidays.

Afro Caribbean Food Baskets

In 2025, we distributed 150 Afro Caribbean Food Baskets to families across Durham Region. Thank you for your donations and thank you to all the vendors at last year's Black Joy Holiday Market for making this possible. Applications for 2026 Afro Caribbean Food Baskets support will open early December.
